LEASING OF MOLIMO NTHUSE LODGE – ANNOUNCEMENT OF BID OPENING

1. Closing of bids submission for the leasing of Molimo Nthuse Lodge was at 12:00 noon on 22 April 2005. By the bid deadline, bids had been received from the following entities/individuals:

Blue Mountain Inn
Allied Property (Pty) Ltd
Roberto Restaurant
Imperial Fleet Services(Pty) Ltd
Maluti Mountainside Retreat /Hotel Mafeteng
Hotel Mafeteng
Maluti Mountainside Retreat

2. Immediately following the bid deadline, the bids were opened in the Privatisation Unit Boardroom in the presence of Government of Lesotho (GoL) and the bidders’ representatives who were present. This bid opening is the latest activity following a decision by Government to lease Molimo-Nthuse Lodge through a competitive tendering process.

3. Further to the opening of the bids, an evaluation process will be undertaken by a Committee that has been established for this purpose. The process will be followed by negotiations with the successful bidder and the negotiation results will be presented to Cabinet. Further details will be released in due course.
