The privatization programme is managed by the Privatization Unit under the guidance of the Ministry of Finance. The boards and management of parastatals as well as line ministries are actively involved in all steps of the process.
To phase out Government subsidies and state control of commercial enterprises.
To concentrate Government effort and spending on the creation of health, education, legal and security environment for optimal economic growth
To attract foreign capital and expertise.
